How long does the height increasing procedure take?
The duration of the procedure depends on the amount of the lengthening and the individual bones' regeneratory abilities, differing with each patient. Thus, as an example, 5-8 cm lengthening takes about 7-10 monthes, but again, varies depending on the amount of lengthening and depends on the particulars of each patient.

What are the side effects of the height increasing procedure?
During the limb lengthening procedure there may be such side effects as a pain, an itching, inflammations, and deceleration of the bones' consolidation. However, since the condition of the patient is always under our physicians' control, there is very little in the way of dangerous complications. Only by using the cosmetic limb lengthening technology which was worked out by Dr.Yegorov, is it possible to significantly decrease the level of any side effects and complications. At our Centre hundreds of cosmetic leg form correction and leg lengthening operations were performed. And we have not had any serious complications in all these cases. All our patients are healthy and satisfied by the operations' results.

Once the surgery is finished and healed will your legs be as strong as they were prior to the surgery?
The bones fully regenerate several months after the operation and become as strong as before the treatment.

Is this an approved method in your country and where is the procedure done?
This method is approved in Russia. And such procedures are performed absolutely legally in russian state and private clinics.

At what age is it possible to undergo the cosmetic height increase and leg form correction procedures?
The age of patients may be from 16 to 60 years.

Will patients be in wheelchairs for part of the treatment?
There is not any necessity for wheelchairs. Patients can walk independently with crutches or even without them in the first days after the operation.

Could you tell me something about the doctors that operate at your center? What are their qualifications?
Dr.Yegorov is the founder of the cosmetic limb lengthening technology. During the last 20 years he and developed the safest method for the cosmetic limb lengthening. He based his choice on the Ilizarov method, because it is the safest. Dr.Yegorov, along with other orthopedists in his group, has modified the Ilizarov method and adapted it for the cosmetic use. Dr.Yegorov has been awarded the title "Honoured Inventor of the Russian Federation" and has exellent qualifications. He has over 40 inventions and patents to his credit.
Dr.Teterin is likewise an orthopedist of the highest qualification.
Their assistants are all highly qualified orthopedists. All have the extensive operative experience (over 20 years).

What if the patient wants to increase height and correct the shape of the legs as well?
It is possible to perform limb lengthening and correction during a single procedure. This procedure is like the simple limb lengthening operation and takes almost the same time but it uses more complicated technology.

If I wanted to get taller, would I have to fly to Russia or do you have any clinics or hospitals here in the USA?
Sorry, but we do not know any clinics in the USA where the cosmetic height increasing and leg form correction procedures are performed. Many people who have the correspondence with us have informed us about this. (Unfortunately, here in the United States no doctor allows
the lengthening surgery for cosmetic purposes.
I have done extensive research and have found several places in the United States, but these centers will only perform these procedures for deformities and limb length corrections.)

Are there any international patients in your Centre now?
Yes at the present time there are foreign patients from United States and Germany. These patients are undergoing the height increase procedures in our Centre. 

How much does the height increasing procedure cost?
We work with different clinics, both state and private. The total cost of the procedure including all necessary expenses is from $15,000 to $30,000 US dollars depending on the clinic and the accommodation and service conditions.

Can you also lengthen arms to provide a balance for the new length of the legs?
We perform the upper arms lengthening procedures only in cases with very big visible disproportions of the body, legs and arms. Usually it is not so necessary.
